Nathan Sirikumara is an award-winning screenwriter and director based in Melbourne/Naarm. His works have screened at film festivals and exhibitions across the globe. His most recent film, The Desperate, is now available to stream on Amazon Prime.
 
The son of two Sri Lankan immigrants, he takes pride in his rich cultural heritage, and is committed to bringing unique Sri Lankan Australian stories to the screen. His feature film in development, FAMISHED, received support from the Melbourne International Film Festival's 37 South Film Market. The project aims to be the first Australian film to prominently feature a Sri Lankan cast of characters.
 
Nathan is an alumni of Swinburne University of Technology, with a Bachelor in Film & Television.
